Michael Pusey

We are saddened by the news that Michael Pusey has died. Michael was well known at Watford Swim and the evenings at St Albans.

My personal memories are sharing interesting conversations on the SOC walks where Michael's humour and great knowledge kept me amused and informed.

He will be missed by those that knew him.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Funeral at Garston Crematorium in the large chapel. 4 January 2008 at 2PM

Reception at Thistle Hotel Chiswell Green.

The family have requested donations to the charity that is important within the family:

The Asperger's Syndrome Foundation
The Kensington Charity Centre
4th Floor, Charles House,
375 Kensington High Street
London
W14 8QH

Donations will also be collated via the funeral director, on the day or afterwards.

Normal service will be resumed...

As soon as we catch up!

Suzanne and David have just returned from a 2 week 'business' trip to Fuerteventura.

Big pile of snail mail, dozens on emails all confounded by the Christmas mail clogging up our letterbox so we will be a while processing all of this and then business should return to normal.

Your patience is appreciated while we catch up.

Clothes optional petition to HM Government

The petition raised by D. Collins asking effectively that the UK has a
similar level of freedom to that enjoyed in Denmark is due to expire
of the 27th December. Some of you have already signed it but if you
have not and feel that the petition is worth supporting then the more
signatures the better. I do appreciate that the person who wrote this petition may have done better had he used a spell checker first.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Nudity/

The wording is quite different to the "clothing optional" petition
which closed in August and received what can only be described as an
unthinking rebuff from government. This petition will likely be
similarly dismissed but they cannot reasonably say that it is a matter
purely for local authorities. The Danes achieved their freedom by
direct protest back in the 1950's and it may well be that in the UK
and mainland Europe only more militant naturist action will change
things.

Top Sante magazine

Have just received the following request:

I'm hoping you can help me with a feature I'm working. Top Sante magazine is looking to shoot five women, aged 25-55, showing off the surprising naked bits their really proud of - women who are proud of their small chests, wobbly tummies, big bottoms. The aim of this line-up feature is to be empowering for women and to make our readers feel really positive and inspired. If you know any naturist women who'd be interested please don't hesitate to get in touch (we're on a tight deadline so it would be great to hear back from you today).
Best wishes

Somerset Strolling Bears (Naturist walking group)
The Polar Bear section of the Somerset Strolling Bears continues to walk throughout the winter. Our next walk is Thu Nov 29 on Dartmoor. Our last walk at Minehead resulted in this quote.
I never thought I would enjoy crawling naked through a bramble patch half way up a cliff face.

More details coming soon about the arrangements at Merryhill, but remember places on the boat are limited so do not miss out on this fabulous event. More info here.

Updates to the web site

Nothing lasts forever, so the time had come to change a few photographs. It gives the site a fresh look to returning visitors.

As this blog is for the latest news items, I have deleted the original NEWS page. I think blogging made it redundant, and it was also a long way out of date.

And we have some gratuitous commercial advertising. We have to make some money somehow to keep it all running.

Onwards and upwards, progress is relentless.

Social at Sue and Dave's 27 Ocober 2007

Sorry folks but we have to cancel this meeting.

Sue has hurt her hand (we think a trapped nerve). She is in quite a lot of pain and not really up to socialising.

Please accept our apologies for cancelling at such short notice.

Norfolk Broads River Trip July 2008

We are still at the planning stage but we are looking to book an evening nude cruise along the Norfolk Broads on the "Southern Comfort" paddle steamer.

Target date is 4 July 2008.

If you are interested in such a venture email us or post a comment here.

Site update

Two new books added to the SHOP page, "The Healing Sun' and 'The Light Revolution' , both from Findhorn Press.

New feature

The Shabden web site has a blog. The idea is to provide up to the minute information which can be accessed by a RSS feed. It's still experimental, but we would appreciate some feedback.

NudistFriends.com - Connects nudists with similar interests and needs, or people interested in nudism and naturism.
